Stanley A. Weisensel, 82, of New Milford, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and family on Thursday, May 18, 2017. Born on August 28, 1934 in Columbus, WI. Son of Roman and Lucille (Perronne) Weisensel. United in Marriage to Yolanda Abney on September 3, 1955 at St. Mary's Church in Rockford, IL.

His working career spanned from Sundstrand where he met the love of his life to working at Gunite, Testers, G & W Foundry, to Anderson Packaging where he retired after 40 years. Together with Yolanda they owned and operated...

Stanley A. Weisensel, 82, of New Milford, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and family on Thursday, May 18, 2017. Born on August 28, 1934 in Columbus, WI. Son of Roman and Lucille (Perronne) Weisensel. United in Marriage to Yolanda Abney on September 3, 1955 at St. Mary's Church in Rockford, IL.

His working career spanned from Sundstrand where he met the love of his life to working at Gunite, Testers, G & W Foundry, to Anderson Packaging where he retired after 40 years. Together with Yolanda they owned and operated Command Post Restaurant and Camp Grant Museum. Member of the Odd Fellows. Found enjoyment in bowling, gardening, baseball, coaching baseball, camping, fishing, and being a Cub Master for #429. He was a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. Was a Village Board member for New Milford. Square dancing with the Forest City Squares was a favorite pastime and together with Yolanda they traveled all over to square dance.

Survivors include his loving wife of almost 62 years, Yolanda; children, Toni (Lory) Seagren, Mark Weisensel, Mary (Donald) Cox, Neil (Tina) Weisensel; grandchildren, Erin (Kevin) McCawley, Lane (Leah) Seagren, Amy Weisensel, Clint Cox, Penny (Mark) Verstraete, Alan Cox, Ricky Cox, Britteny Weisensel, Whittney Weisensel, Nicholas Weisensel; great-grandchildren, Tori Oglesby, Logan McCawley, Keegan McCawley, Aiden McCawley, Cameron McCawley, Nolan Seagren, Carlie Seagren, Alyssa Haling, Matthew Haling, Michael (Hailee) Cox, Tyler Cox; great-great-grandchildren, Kato Cox and Kai Merkel; siblings, Bernell (Paul) Kavaloski, Brian (Anita) Weisensel, Ina (Daniel) Solarzano, Joe (Carol) Weisensel; sister-in-law, Helen Weisensel; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, brother, Lyle; daughter-in-law, Debbie McCutcheon. Special Thanks to Heartland Hospice, Alpine Fireside, Father Browning and special caregiver Conisha.
