Richard J. DeMetsenare, 93, of Rockford, IL. was welcomed into heaven on Wednesday May 17, 2017, after enduring Dementia and Alzheimer's for several years. In a life well celebrated he worked as a transporter for the Detroit Public Schools for 38 years. He married Darlene Glendenning and shared 38 years together. Richard was a man of simple pleasures. In a life well celebrated he worked as a transporter for the Detroit Public Schools for 38 years. He married Darlene Glendenning and shared 38 years together. Richard was a man of simple pleasures. He enjoyed taking care of his yard and going out to dinner. He was recognized for his great sense of humor.
