James S. Kosinski, 69, of Loves Park, IL, was welcomed into Heaven on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, a life well celebrated. He was a loyal and devoted father, grandfather and Cubs fan. He enjoyed celebrating in their victory. Born September 3, 1944 in Rockford, IL. to Joseph and Rose (Addotta) Kosinski. He married Sandra Irwin who preceded him in death in 2008. Jim graduated from St Thomas School. He worked over 35 years for Rockford Products until retiring. He was an active member at St. Edwards, hosting their marriage encounters and youth groups. James S. Kosinski, 69, of Loves Park, IL, was welcomed into Heaven on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, a life well celebrated. He was a loyal and devoted father, grandfather and Cubs fan. He enjoyed celebrating in their victory. Born September 3, 1944 in Rockford, IL. to Joseph and Rose (Addotta) Kosinski. He married Sandra Irwin who preceded him in death in 2008. Jim graduated from St Thomas School. He worked over 35 years for Rockford Products until retiring. He was an active member at St. Edwards, hosting their marriage encounters and youth groups. After moving they became members of St. Bridgets Church. Jim was active with the Knights of Colombus, a Bishop of Muldoon Council #470. Grandson, Nathaniel enjoyed the times watching TV and making sure his grandfather was comfortable. His best times were when surrounded by his family.

Survivors: children, Mary Kosinski, Peter Kosinski; grandsons, Nathaniel Kosinki and Collin Kosinski; brother, Jerry (Karen) Kosinski; mother-in-law, Darline Irwin; close and very dear friends, Emma and Greg Gates, Liz and Jim DeBaere and all his special friends at Provena/St. Anne's. Predeceased by parents; wife, Sandra; sister, Carol Clark; brother, Bobby Kosinski.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, St. Bridgets Church, 600 Clifford Ave. Loves Park. Visitation 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Entombment Sunset Memorial Gardens..
